Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- rectal cancer of TNM stage I-III
- underwent radical resection with curative intent
Exclusion
- synchronous colon cancer
- synchronous gastrointestinal cancer
- underwent palliative resection
- presented with intestinal obstruction
- those lost to follow-up.
