Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- cirrhotic patients with oesophageal varices
- cirrhotic patients without oesophageal varices
Exclusion
- Patients with hepato-cellular carcinomas \[HCCs\], portal vein thrombosis, hepatic encephalopathy.
- Patients with positive HCV antibody, but without liver cirrhosis diagnostic criteria
