Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Patients with morbid obesity undergoing bariatric metabolic surgery according to the IFSO criteria,
  • Willingness to attend all follow-up visits
  • Written consent

Exclusion

  • other liver disease than NAFLD
  • presence of IBD, acute pancreatitis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, pregnancy
