Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Age 18 years or older
  • Moderate to severe ARDS
  • Written informed consent obtained from patient' surrogates

Exclusion

  • Pneumothorax
  • Known pregnancy
  • Contraindication to electrical impedance tomography or esophageal pressure measurements
