Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Age \>18
- Evidence of pleural effusion on imaging
- Clinical indication for thoracentesis
Exclusion
- Age \<18
- Standard contraindication for thoracentesis procedure
- Patients on positive pressure ventilation
- Patients who have opted out of research in EPIC
