Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- All live-born neonates admitted to the NICU within the first 24 hours of life.
- Both term and preterm infants.
Exclusion
- Major congenital malformations
- Chromosomal abnormalities or genetic syndromes
- Neonates with a previous blood transfusion before study enrollment
